Suzanne Lyons, Producer

          SUZANNE LYONS has over 25 years experience in television and film.  She was VP of Marketing and Promotions for a Canadian TV Network and while there she created, produced and directed news, promotions, commercials and series programming and has won numerous awards for her work.   Suzanne moved to Philadelphia in the early 90’s and worked in film and television sales and distribution.  Ms. Lyons then established herself in Los Angeles in the mid 90’s and co-founded the Flash Forward Institute.  She has led hundreds of entertainment industry seminars to thousands of participants in both the U.S. and Canada. 

In 1999 Ms. Lyons co-founded Snowfall Films and in 2005 she co-founded WindChill Films, Inc.  To date she has produced or executive produced nine movies.  Suzanne has worked with wonderful talent including Brenda Blethyn, Christopher Walken, Naomi Watts, Alfred Molina, James Caan, Dean Cain, Jennifer Tilly, Jon Lovitz, Asia Argento, Winona Ryder, Peter Fonda, Adrian Paul and more. Her budgets have ranged from $200,000 to $10 million.  Ms. Lyons’ films have won a gamut of awards and festivals from the prestigious British BAFTA award, a premier at the Directors Fortnight at the Cannes Film Festival, best picture at Shockerfest and acceptance into the Toronto, Berlin. LA and Montreal Film Festivals. 

  Ms. Lyons is in the process of developing and producing a slate of family films; A World War I family action/drama titled SCOUTS HONOR which won best screenplay at La Femme Film Festival an animated Christmas feature titled OMARR THE CAMEL with Randy Travis and Amy Grant interested in starring in the project. Suzanne has partnered with stage producer Monica Tidwell to produce the film version of Anthony Horowitz (“Foyle’s War”) stage play MINDGAME.  U.K. based Ken Russell (“Tommy”, “Altered States”) is attached to direct.  Ms. Lyons is also producing a film based on the Canadian best-selling novel THE CALLING and an action thriller titled THE WOUND with James Cotten attached to direct.

  Suzanne has been guest speaker/panelist for over 40 entertainment industry groups, guilds and organizations and has been interviewed on blog talk radio on Indie film producing.  She has led 100s of industry career workshop and has been featured in a number of books including, Eve Light Honthaner’s “The Complete Film Production Handbook” and “Hollywood Drive,” Michael Hauge’s “Selling Your Story in 60 Seconds,” “Birthing the Elephant” by Karen Abarbanel and Bruce Freeman and she is featured in the 2008 issue of “Make It Happen,” the Harvard Undergraduate Women in Business annual magazine.  Suzanne has a book deal with Focal Press to write a book on Indie Film Producing.  She publishes a free monthly Newsletter each month that gives advice, tips and techniques on a variety of topics related to the entertainment industry.  Suzanne has daily tips on her Facebook page Suzanne Lyons - “Outrageous Strategies for Success.”  (
